Eve Angela & I left at 6.45 to drive up to our self catering cottage at Quernmore 4 miles East of Lancaster. Stopped for breakfast at Sandbach (Sally''s cafe in town) after 3 hours. Off again at 11.00 and an hour later we''re in Lancaster and then to our accomodation. It''s very new and modern and our hosts are very friendly. But my main purpose of getting here early is to go to this game. After a cup of tea, we head off and park near the front at 14.00. I leave the girls soon after for 25 min walk to the ground. A surprising number of Plymouth fans in the away end. Morecombe scored after 4 mins and again 6 mins into the second half. should be plain sailing. But no: Plymouth fought back with a 25 yarder and 2 penalties to leave the home fans very disgruntled. A swift walk back to the car where the girls were reading the paper.
