A really most enjoyable day. Snow forecast and very cold but tickets in pocket so off we go.
This is a ground reminiscent of a footballing past. Park in a side street, walk down a snicket between houses, into a car parkm pause at the shop in a portacabin and then in through the gate to an entryway little bigger than my living room. From there into the clubhouse with a few formica topped tables and a tiny bar. I loved it. A swift pint with a Clayton Park (bakeries) pie - FAB - and then out to pick a seat anywhere you want.
The ground is small and single level all around with the away gfans end completely open to the elements. The Sophia Khan stand holding the Stanley Ultras (complete with drummer) who made more noise per head than just about anybody (except maybe Exeter away fans).
As the snow started to fall (and with snow laying on the hills we could see in the distance) we watched a great game of football between two committed sides trying to play half-decent footy.
Frozen by half time I could not resist a hot beefy drink (Bovril) to go with Hot Beefy (James) Beatie who scored 2 goals and got MotM.
Stanley should have won easily but no sooner had they taken the lead than they started to quake and the equaliser looked inevitable.
Drove all the way home with a big smile on lips. I now have a massive soft spot for both Accrington and Stanley.

Had a bad feeling about this game and it ended in yet another draw! If we are serious about promotion we need to be winning games like this
A proper old uncovered terrace in ther snow not ideal conditions for watching football but still that's what loyal supporters put up with
Pack got his first brace for the club and former England international James Beattie got 2 for Accy
