GROUND HISTORY adapted from "The Ultimate Directory of English & Scottish Football League Grounds"
Constructed on a greenfield site, the stadium is elliptical in shape with two-tier stands around the ground and a continuous roof supported off cables strung between pylons located in each corner. The all-seat capacity at the start of the 2007/8 season was 28,723 and the pitch size was 115 x 74 yards.

Food & drink
Drink in the city before going to the match either at the Barracuda Bradshawgate, Nelson Square, or the Spinning Mule just before it there is good food and beer at all three pubs and are only five minutes from Bolton station.
If driving
From The South:
Drive to Junction 21a M6; take eastbound M62 leaving at Junction 12. Follow signs for M61 (Bolton/Preston) and exit the M61 at junction 6, and take the first exit off the slip road roundabout onto the A6027 Mansell Way. Just before the ground take the first exit and then take the fourth exit at the next roundabout into the car parks.

From The North:
Take the M6 to Junction 30 and take the M61 towards Blackburn. Then leave the M61 at junction six. The grounds is visible from this junction and follow the road markings for Horwich and at the roundabout just before the ground take the first exit and then take the fourth exit at the next roundabout into the car parks.
Public transport
Horwich Parkway railway station serves the stadium, with regular trains from Bolton's main station. Horwich Parkway is only a few minutes’ walk from the stadium just walk up Middlebrook Lane the ground is in front of you.
